playing

I bought some new paints the other day with a jackson's voucher. They are mostly acrylic inks which are gorgeous. metallic paints. Have been experimenting with making my own stamps. These ones are made with a styrofoam meat tray. Also layering images on watercolour paper for some book making later on... The green colour in this bottom one is actually the acrylic ink so really shiny and yum.

Hi Heather - how do you make stamps from styrofoam trays? What do you use to cut into them? Yours looks so professional!

Hi Amanda,
To clairfy, the top photo is my homemade stamps. The bottom 2 contain mainly bought ones.

The styrofoam stanps are easy! Just draw in it with aballpoint pen! You need to make sure you draw in the 'foamy' side not the side covered with a thin plastic. (On most aussie meat trays, the foam side it the underside of the tray)

Happy playing!!
Hannah.
